Can Road Armor Shock Absorbing Equalizers LC696740 Be Used TO Replace 6" Long Equalizers On Trailer?

Hello I am looking to upgrade to the road armor equalizer kit LC696740. My existing equalizers have a centerline of 6 inches right to left and our 2 inches tall. The shackles have a center line distance of 2 1/4 inches . The height on the road armor is 3 1/2 inches, will this raise the height of my trailer? I would also like to upgrade to wet bolts and shackles, what model number is your recommendation ? Thanks

The Road Armor Shock Absorbing Equalizer Kit - Tandem Axle - Qty 2 # LC696740 you were looking at will replace your existing 6" long by 2" tall equalizers just fine, but since the Road Armor is 1-1/2" taller it will slightly lift the trailer.

Keep in mind that from the upper mounting hole to the bottom of the equalizer measures 7-1/2" as shown in the included diagram, so you will need to make sure that having the equalizer stick down that far will not cause any ground clearance issues.

Since your shackle straps measures 2-1/4" long center to center I recommend going with the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Tandem Axle Trailers - 2-1/4" Long Shackle Straps # MR46ZR which includes heavy duty shackles, wet bolts, nuts, and bronze bushings for your double eye springs.
