This rack has a weight limit of 165lbs. It has crossbars with a t-channel for any channel mounted accessories, but it also works with accessories that clamp to the bar. The bars are elliptical in shape to reduce noise and help with fuel efficiency. The rack is secured to the vehicle by locks. It is designed to clamp to the frame of the vehicle and due to this the attachment points are non-adjustable. So if the gap between your crossbars is not large enough for your bag to sit in between them there is nothing you can do about it. The distance between the bars on this rack will be 27 9/16".
