Will Installing or Using Draw-Tite DT75MR On 2021 Hyundai Elantra Cause Any Damage To Vehicle?
Question:
Hello - I really need a hitch to carry my bicycle on my 2021 Elantra. I am a little concerned about your hitch. Wondering about the possibility of damaging my new car which I just purchased brand new. Are you confident that this hitch can be installed without damaging the car? The reviews all look pretty positive. Thank you for your time.

As long as you or the installer you have install the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT75MR on your 2021 Hyundai Elantra follows the written instructions included with the hitch, there will be zero damage to your vehicle using or installing the hitch.
This hitch is a bit involved to get installed, and will require drilling two holes and trimming a bit of the heat shield near the muffler to allow the hitch to sit against the frame.
If you are not comfortable with this kind of work I recommend having a local, reputable automotive repair shop complete the installation for you.
Now this hitch has a class I receiver so when picking out a bike rack you will need to make sure it is compatible with a class I hitch.
I recommend the Thule Roadway Bike Rack - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting # TH934XTR which will accommodate four bikes but since you have a class I hitch, you can carry TWO bikes weighing up to 35lbs each.
I included a link to the written instructions of the # DT75MR and a video review of the # TH934XTR for you to take a look at.
