Question:
Is this a 3” hole center diameter on the backing plate? What is the thread size for the brake line fitting in the wheel cylinder?
asked by: Paul
Expert Reply:
The center of the backing plate has a 2-3/8 inch diameter hole, and the brake line fitting is a 3/16" inverted flare for the Demco hydraulic brakes you asked about, which are the following part:
- Demco Hydraulic Brake Kit - Free Backing - Galvanized # 40716-15
These brakes are rated for up to 3,500 lbs and the only other thing you will need with them is the mounting hardware, which is the Mounting Bolts and Hardware for 10" Brake Assemblies # BRKH10A.
