No Signal to Furrion Camera FOS05TASF

Question:

Hi, I have a 33 foot Jayco 5th wheel...Camera seems to pair quickly inside the truck or inside the camper...but when installed, no signal. I have tried and tested all I know but with no luck. My camera is a 5” furrion back up camera.

Thank you for your purchase from etrailer of the Furrion Vision S Camera System # FOS05TASF.

According to Furrion there are a number of things you can do to try to remedy the situation if you are not getting a signal, to start you should check if the camera antenna is fitted and secured correctly, as it should be vertical. It could also be that the distance between camera and monitor is too great so if possible reduce that distance. There may be interference from electrical appliances may be affecting the wireless signal, or interference from overhead power lines. Finally, the last thing they suggest is to try unpairing and pairing again.

@AlbertG Can you share any more information about your setup and what the issue is? Was your camper wired at the factory for the Furrion Vision S Wireless camera or other camera, or was the camera installed by you or a shop?

@VictoriaB The wiring was done by the factory . I have a 2022 Grand Design Camper. I got the Furrion camera from Pontiac R V. I think they should know i it would work or not. Thanks

@AlbertG It sounds like you have a wireless Furrion camera system with its own stand alone in-cab monitor. We often have reports of cameras not working and it usually has to do with the camera being miswired. Just because the camera has a red and black wire, and the trailer has red and black, does not mean they should connect like colors together. Remove your camera from the trailer. Measure the voltage at each wire to determine which is the power and which is the ground then install with correct polarity if neccessary. Also, when checking for voltage, ensure that you have 12 volts. If you are getting low voltage the camera will not work and transmit.
