Recommended Rear Suspension Enhancement For 2014 Nissan Frontier Towing 3000lb Landscape Trailer
Question:
Hey there, eTrailer folks! I have a 2014 Nissan Frontier SV crew cab V6. I tow a 12ft single axle landscape trailer daily with my Frontier. My typical load INCLUDING trailer weight is right at 2900 to 3000 lbs. I dont know the tongue weight, however. My Frontier does well with the load, but I still would like to add a bit of support, as I have a few steep driveways where I always drag the bottom of the ball drags when entering and exiting the drive. Would the 1000 lb. SumoSprings firm the rear of the truck up a bit? Thanks in advance!

The SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs - Rear Axle # SSR-610-40 you were looking at for your 2014 Nissan Frontier will do a great job of support your rear suspension when towing your 2900-3000lb landscaping trailer.
Typically tongue weight is 10-15% of the weight of the trailer, so with your trailer weight your should only be seeing 300-450lbs, so the 1000lb rating of the # SSR-610-40 will be more than enough while not ruining your unloaded ride.
I included a video of the # SSR-610-40 for you to take a look at.
