We don't carry the Hayes system, but I can explain the differences between the Tuson # 335TSC-1000 Asymmetric Sway Control and the Lippert # LC380605 Sway Command.
• The Tuson is compaitble with 1 to 4 brake axles, while the Lippert is only compatible with up to 2 axles.
• The Tuson needs to be mounted between 1-10 feet rearward of the trailer hitch ball, while the Lippert can
be mounted anywhere between 4-10 feet rearward. Both need to be installed on the trailer centerline.
• The big difference is how the systems determine the trailer is swaying and how the power is delivered to
the trailer brakes. The Lippert uses an internal gyroscope and accelerometer to determine the speed and
angle of the trailer while the Tuson uses a preset algorithm to apply the brakes. The Lippert will activate
both sides of the trailer brakes, while the Tuson will operate one side or the other, which will require
rewiring the trailer brakes.
Because it won't require rewiring the trailer brake system, and uses what in my opinion is a more reliable sway sensing systsem, I'd personally go with the Lippert # LC380605 Sway Command.
