Can you Use a Retrax Tonneau Cover with a Ford Performance Chase Bar

Question:

Do you know of any chase bar / Light bar that is compatible with the Retrax Pro XR cover? I have a Ford Ranger with the Ford Performance chase bar that is bolted on. However, this setup will not allow me to add the Retrax Pro XR to the bed of the truck. I would like to keep the light bar if possible with the cover. Let me know if you know of any that would allow me to use the cover and the t-slot accessories and keep the light bar.

The only option to use the Ford Performance Chase Bar on a Ford Ranger with a tonneau cover is to get a tonneau cover that sits inside the bed rails. The reason for this is because any cover that sits above the rails like a Retrax does will take up too much space on the bed rails for the Performance to mount.

With that in mind, there won't be tonneau covers that have T-slots available since only the ones that sit on top of the bed rails have this option.

I recommend using a BAK tonneau cover like the MX4, part # BAK448332, which fits a 2019 Ford Ranger with a 5-foot bed (if this isn't your vehicle year and style, let me know). It sits inside the bed rails and will allow you to keep your Performance. I've linked to a video overview of this below.

If you'd rather use a Retrax and forgoe your Performance, then let me know the year and style of your Ranger. I will tell you which one will fit yours.
