Does DeeZee Tailgate Assist Make Removing Tailgate Difficult 2017 F-250 Super Duty Diesel

Does this assist hinder the ability to take the tailgate off when needed?

To remove the tailgate of a truck that has the DeeZee Tailgate Assist part # DZ43205 installed on it will require the additional step of pull the shock off of the post it attaches to but aside from that it does not make it substantially more difficult.
