Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver For 2014 Acura MDX
Question:
Hello, I have the above vehicle, my trailer is 12inch above the ground surface at level. In looking at these: I cannot see where I can determine the correct for the ball mount for my 2inch ball on any of the options for trailer hitch setups. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated so that I do not purchase the incorrect ball mount. Regards

For your 2014 Acura MDX I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13146 as we have found that the powder coat finish Curt uses holds up the best over time, and it has the same 900lb tongue weight rating and 6000lb trailer weight rating as the other hitches available so it is plenty strong.
When we installed the # C13146 we found that from the ground to the top inside edge of the receiver was 14". You mentioned that from the ground to the trailer was 12". If that measurement was to the bottom of the coupler then to get your trailer level you will need a 2" drop.
If you did not measure to the bottom of the coupler than just let me know what measurement you get.
For a 2" drop ball mount I recommend the # C45534 which has a 2" hitch ball, and a locking hitch pin and clip.
Lastly you will also need a vehicle wiring harness # 118628.
I included videos showing each of the products mentioned being installed for you to take a look at.
