How to Wire Optronics Right-Hand Trailer Stop, Turn and Tail Light, Part # ST8RB
Question:
how do i wire to 7 blade trailer plug

The Optronics Right-Hand Trailer Stop, Turn and Tail Light, Part # ST8RB, connects with two wires. On the rear of the housing are holes to accept bare wire and underneath each one is a smaller hole that serves as a wire release; just insert a small pin (or something like a paper clip) to release the wires. The left-hand matching light is part # ST9RB.
If you refer to the included photo illustrating a trailer-side 7-way connector you will be able to see which two wires from the connector provide the right-hand lighting functions: Pin 3 brown wire is tail/running light; Pin 6 green wire is right turn/brake. I have also included a photo of this item with wiring pins indicated. The two mounting studs (which are on 2-inch centers) provide the ground connection.
If your mounting location does not provide a clean bare metal surface to make a secure ground connection to the trailer frame, you can use a ground jumper wire with ring terminal on each end; connect one end to one of the mounting studs and the other to a clean rust-free spot on the trailer frame.
I have provided a link to an article on trailer wiring in general that might be helpful to you.
