Can Reverse Light of RV Be Used as Utility Light
Question:
how to activate backup lights on trailer w/o running wire all the way back and doing so when putting tow vehicle in reverse, i can pick up power @ rear

Sounds like you want utility lights at the rear of your RV instead of a reverse light since you mentioned you didn't want the lights to come on when in reverse. So what you could do is run the power for the lights from the RV battery and then use a switch like the Derale part # D16740.
