It will require you to modify the heat shield for the exhaust by flattening the mounting tabs with a hammer. This Class V hitch is capable of a maximum 1,700 lbs tongue weight and 15,000lbs towing or 17,000lbs towing when using a weight distribution hitch. Be sure to contact Ram with your VIN number to determine what your limits are for the truck and use the lower of those ratings.
