Plug-In Trailer Brake Controller For 2010 Dodge Ram 1500

Question:

I have a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 2WD . I have 2 plugs under dash for a factory controller . However the controller from Dodge isn’t available. Do you have a brake controller that will accept both of my plugs under dash with out splicing wires ?

We do have a solution for a plug-in trailer brake controller for your 2010 Dodge Ram 1500. You mentioned accepting both plugs though, and an aftermarket brake controller will plug into just one of them, and connect to the brake controller. If you take a look at the accompanying photo, if your Ram has the same connector (which it should), then that is what you would use to plug in the brake controller.

If so, what you can use is the following:

- Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller # TK90160

- Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers - Dodge # 3021-P

I really like the Primus IQ because it is a great value, giving you a quality brake controller that will provide smooth braking at a really good price. I have added a link below to an install of this controller on a similar model year Ram for you to check out.

The other option, if you want to forego any wiring at all, is to use a wireless brake controller, the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180.

The Echo will simply plug into the back of the 7-way on your Ram and you'll set it up with you phone, with no wiring or anything else needed. I've also added a link below to a video review of that controller if you'd like to take a look.
