Recommended Socket to Install a Ball on a Fastway e2 Hitch
Question:
I need the socket to install the hitch ball on my round bar e2 hitch which my manual identifies as #94-00-0600. Generically you recommend a socket for E2 hitches but round bar and trunnion hitchess use a different head. I dont know if all round bar heads 6000, 8000, 10,000 max trailer weight are the same size or are they scaled differently for their weight size. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

To install a ball, like the Equal-i-zer # EQ91-00-6080, you will need a 1 7/8 inch socket that uses a 3/4 inch drive. The Equal-i-zer Thin Walled Socket # EQ70-00-4800 is ideally suited for this application. The torque rating on the ball will also be the same between round bar and trunnion bar systems and will depend on the specifications listed from the manufacturer. This will be the socket I suggest for both a round bar and trunnion bar weight distribution systems as well.
