correct 5th wheel hitch and wedge for 2019 F-250 with Reese Sidewinder 68220  

Question:

Hello, I have just installed the Reese sidewinder elite 20k #68220. I was told I need the wedge for a crt a16 hitch. So was told to order the curt 16992. The bolts on the sidewinder are 11/16 head which do not fit into the slots on the wedge.. what am I doing wrong.

I have a solution for you, but the updated Curt A-Series 5th wheel hitches are not compatible with Reese Sidewinder 68220. Instead, you can swap out the hitch with something like the Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch. This is compatible with the Reese Sidewinder you have when used with Wedge # RP44FR.

If your 2019 F-250 has prep package go with Reese M5 5th Wheel Hitch 20,000 lbs # RP30921. If your truck doesn't have prep package, instead you'll need Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Single Jaw - 20,000 lbs # RP30928 with Rail Kit # RP50074-58.
