Troubleshooting Curt Wiring Harness C59236 Not Having Power When Installed In 2016 VW Golf

Installed according to the directions and video. Nothing! Nada! Ground tests perfect all the way back to the module. All lights and signals working on the car but probing will not show anything in any of the 3 slots on the connector. Tested the car first to establish it is a PWM-ST config. Could it be that the module is faulty? Thanks

Since you confirmed that the ground wire of the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236 I recommend using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to verify that there is power on the single green, yellow, red, and brown wire going into the module.

If you have power on each of those wires going into the module but not out then it is likely the module is defective.

If you do not have power going into the module then you will need to verify that each of the wires is connected to the correct wire on your vehicle. Using the # PTW2993 and a friend to apply the brakes and turn signals while you are testing the wires.
