Shank Size Of Hitch Ball Included With The Curt Pintle Hook W/ 2-5/16" Hitch Ball C48200
Question:
What size ball shank hole is this? I have one from a different manufacturer which is advertised as 1 1/4” shank, but upon measuring it, it is only 1 1/8th” and won’t accept 1-1/4” ball shanks. I regularly switch between a pintle, 2” and 2-5/16” hitches and had originally planned on being able to just switch the ball out to accomplish this, however when I went to try, my current hitch wouldn’t work. I’d just like to confirm this is a true 1-1/4” shank size. Thanks!

The Curt Pintle Hook with 2-5/16" Hitch Ball - Bolt On - 16,000 lbs # C48200 you were looking at has a ball hole that is 1-1/4" in diameter.
This combo includes a 2-5/16" hitch ball already, so for a 2" hitch ball I recommend the Replacement Hitch Ball for Curt Pintle Hook Combo - 2" Diameter - 10,000 lbs - Chrome # C48820 which was made for this hitch.
I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
