How Much Tongue Weight Will the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75703 Allow?

Hey guys/gals, I have this exact hitch on my 3/4ton van will it handle a 598lb tongue on a travel trailer??? and maybe alittle more or is that the limitinch it can do safely... Thanks

The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75703 has a maximum tongue weight rating of 600lbs unless you are using a Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37100ET or similar hitch. Then the maximum tongue weight allowed will become 1,000lbs with the weight distribution system being properly used.
I never recommend exceeding the manufacturer specifications of either the hitch or your 1998 Ford 3/4ton Van. Also be sure to inspect the hitch periodically for excessive rust. If your hitch shows signs of severe pitting from rust the hitch should be replaced as it is weakened due to the rust corroding the steel.
