Installing Aftermarket Rails On A 2005 Honda Civic

Question:

Good evening, I own a 2005 honda civic EX Special edition coupe. I am trying to find rails that hard mount to the cars roof as I dont like the idea of hooks holding on any valuables sitting on my roof. The other problem is that the car being a coop only offers a small area for the roof rack to hook on to if it must hook through the doors. Im want to find rails that can bolt onto the roof even if drilling is required that would look like example 2 as provided above so that I can achieve example 3, currently my roof is bare. Im hoping that these rails are black or silver and can support a couple hundred pounds. It would also be nice if they were a raised system that cross arms can attach too. You guys were a big help when I wanted to mount a trailer hitch for my bike rack so im hopeful you come through again. I would prefer the look of number 3 with the support in the middle and the ends angled

There is no aftermarket raised rail option, only a track option that Thule does offer. The Thule Top Track Roof Mount System, 42" Long, part # THTP42 is what you will need. It does require drilling into the roof of your vehicle.

The tracks work with the Thule Rapid Podium Feet, part # TH460R, and the Thule Podium Fit Kit, part # THKIT3101 and the Thule SquareBar Evo Crossbars - Steel - 50" Long, part # TH712300. The Thule Top Track Roof Mount System comes with drill bits, a flare nut tool, and Loctite sealant. There are some limitations. Your vehicle cannot have a sunroof and your roof cannot already have aftermarket body work.
