Will the Hollywood Racks Express 3 Bike Rack # HRE3 Fit on a 1999 BMW Z3

Question:

I have a 1999 BMW Z3 and want to haul 2 bikes from CA to CO - a road bike and a mt bike. Will the Hollywood trunk mount rack do the job? Do I need any accessories? Also do you have a ski rack attachment? Thanks

The Hollywood Racks Express 3 Bike Rack, # HRE3, will fit on your 1999 BMW Z3. This bike rack can carry two bikes at 35 lbs each. If either of your bikes do not have a horizontal top frame tube, then you may need a bike adapter bar like theHollywood Adapter, # HRBA-PRO. Some bikes with step-through or alternative frames can be difficult to load on a bike rack and cause ground clearance issues. This adapter bar will allow you to load the bike level and safely on the bike rack.

Since you will be carrying the bike rack from California to Colorado, it is a good idea to remove the bike rack if you drive through inclement weather and clean the pads and surface of your truck to ensure dirt or other debris does not build up underneath the pads. Dirt and debris under the pads is the main cause of scratching with trunk mounted bike racks.
