Trailer Hitch Option for a 2010 Nissan Rogue and the Kuat NV Bike Rack
Question:
We are thinking of installing the Curt Hitch Code 13168 to use with the Kuat NV bike rack and extention N101 and N103. Im wondering when in the upright position is there sufficitent clearance so the bike rack does not damage the car? If not is there another hitch recommended for use with the Kuat NV?

Yes, the Kuat NV Bike Rack, # NV22G-NA22G, will work with the Curt Trailer Hitch, # C13204, on your 2010 Nissan Rogue. The biggest fit issue with hitch mount bike racks is bumper clearance. We have installed the Curt Trailer Hitch, # C13204, on a 2011 Nissan Rogue and found that the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the rear bumper is 4-1/2 inches, this will be the same on your 2010 model.
In the folded position, with the hook arms folded out, the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closes part of the NV bike rack is 7 inches. It is important that you always fold the bike rack with the arms folded out and not in. If the arms are folded in, the lower arms will likely hit your bumper. I made a short video showing how the arms should be positioned when folding the NV bike rack.
