Could Install of Curt Trailer Wiring without Disconnecting Battery Damage Converter
Question:
I installed the converter without disconnecting the negative terminal on the battery. I forgot. Could that have fried the new converter? I dont have any power and Ive double and triple checked its all wired correctly.

It is possible that you created a short during the install of Curt trailer wiring harness part # C56496 which damaged the converter. If you can test for voltage with a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 on the input size of the wiring and see that there's voltage going in but none coming out that would indicate that the box is shorted out.
