Flat Towing A 2019 Jeep Cherokee With Roadmaster Base Plates And Tow Bar

Question:

We purchased a car with a pre-existing roadmaster base plate 521452-4 already installed with breaking unit. It did not come with any lugs/connectors on it. We have been given a Roadmaster Sterling tow arm 6000lb and we need to get the lugs between the end of the arms and the sockets on the tow vehicle, need to have the safety chains added, the connector between the car and the RV for power/breaking and also the emergency break cable. I have been trying to find the separate parts but cannot see what model parts I need. I have attached photos of the ARM we have and the front of the car. We need the bits to join them all together. Thanks!

From the pictures you sent in it looks like the arms are missing from your base plates. On the # RM-ARMS page you'll see a link called "Instruction Details". It will bring up a form you'll need to fill out and send to Roadmaster to get the correct fitting arms for your # RM-521452-4 base plates and from there you can get the correct attachments to go with your # RM-576 Sterling Tow Bar.

It looks like you already have the tow bar wiring set up but if you do not I recommend the # RM-15267. If your the connection port on your vehicle is a 6-way then you can use # DM9523006 to connect to a 7-way on your RV.

For safety chains I recommend the # RM-643.

For a braking system I recommend the # HM39524. This will come with a battery charger to keep your towed vehicle's battery charged while towing and has a breakaway switch that when it becomes disconnected will engage the Brake Buddy to slow your vehicle down to safely pull over.
