Recommended 4-way to 7-way Adapter For 2018 Dodge Durango
Question:
Im hooking up some wiring for a hitch on a 2018 durango. The wire just has the 4 pin, but Id like to use this on the hitch so I have the option. Is there an adapter that I can use to plug the 4 pin to the rear of this adapter so that I can have both options on my hitch?

We have exactly what you are looking for.
If you are only needing the lighting functions of a 7-way connector you can use the Adapter 4-Pole to 7-Pole and 4-Pole # 37185. This will allow you to plug in the 4-way connector you have on your 2018 Dodge Durango and give you a 4-way and 7-way connector.
Now if you are needing the 12v power and trailer brake output circuits to work then I recommend the Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness w Brake Controller Adapter - 7 Way Trailer Connector # TK22113 and replacing the included 7-way with the # HM40920 you were looking at so you will have a fully functional 7-way and 4-way connector.
To mount either option to the trailer hitch receiver on your Durango you will need the no drill mounting bracket # 18140 unless your hitch has the built in bracket for a 7-way connector.
I included videos for each of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
