Does Tekonsha Trailer Wiring Harness # 118449 Require Same Ground Wire as Curt Does
Question:
I noticed this Tekonsha kit doesnt have the spare white ground wire that the curt kit has to attach to the exposed post by the front panel under the dash. Is the lack of ground wire in this kit make it inferior or why does curt kit has it but not this one? Just wondering why ground is present on one kit but not on Tekonsha ?

In general we've found that the Tekonsha trailer wiring harnesses like part # 118449 are more reliable than the Curt's so I would highly recommend this harness. It does not need as much of a ground as the Curt does but it still functions just fine.
