Troubleshooting Two Dash Marks on Display of Curt Triflex Brake Controller
Question:
I have had a triflex controller for about a year. It has never really worked well but enough to get by with. But now I just have two dash marks on the display and no brakes.

The Curt Triflex Trailer Brake Controller part # C24VV shows two dashes when it is not getting the 12V power that it needs. You want to check that the black wire is properly connected to the positive side of the vehicle's battery and the ground on the negative side.
Due to the problematic nature of this controller it's also very likely your controller is bad since they are known for that. I'd recommend replacing it with a Brake EVN part # TK63VR for a much more reliable proportional controller .
