Does A 2020 Ford F-150 W/6.5 Bed Need A Sliding Hitch
Question:
I have a 2020 F150 with max tow pkg 6.5 bed and am gonna be pulling a 5th wheel that weighs 8300 lbs with a hitch weight of 1255 lbs do I need a sliding hitch?

We recommend using a sliding hitch in your 2020 Ford F-150 with a 6.5 bed. The Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R16 Slider Item # C16521 with Reese Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit Item # RP56034-53 is as close as you will get to the trailer weight with a slider. It doesn't hurt to have a hitch that can handle more than the trailer.
