How Difficult Is It To Replace 5th Wheel Trailer Pin Box With Reese Goosebox?

I’m thinking about buying a Reese goose box for a 2021 Keystone Cougar 364BHL and I’m wondering how hard it is to swap out the inbox to the goose box.

The Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter - Lippert 1621 and 0719 - 20,000 lbs # RP85FR is a great option as it will allow you to use a gooseneck hitch ball instead of needing a heavy 5th wheel hitch.

Swapping the pin box on your 2021 Keyston Cougar 364BL will require at least one extra set of hands, as the pin box weighs almost 200lbs. Besides the weight of the pin box the installation is easy. Its just 8 bolts and nuts.

To make sure the # RP85FR will fit your trailer you will need to confirm which pin box your Cougar uses. On the pin box there should be a sticker with the model of the pin box. If there is not just send me a picture of the brand and serial number of the pin box and I would be happy to identify it for you.

The # RP94720 is designed to replace the Lippert 1621 and 0719 pin boxes, so if this is what you have this would be the exact part you need.
