How to Carry 2 E-Bikes on a 2017 Subaru Crosstrek
Question:
I am having a 1 1/4 hitch attached to my 2017 Subaru Crosstrek by my Subaru dealer. I would like to know if this hitch and the two, 54 pound E-bikes I am planning on purchasing will be supported by this car and the SA4025F bike rack.

The 1-1/4" receivers we have listed for the 2017 Subaru Crosstrek are Class I hitches. As such, the Saris SuperClamp EX, part # SA4025F, will not work because it is compatible with Class II and above.
If you'd like to use this bike rack, I suggest using a higher class hitch like the Curt Class III, part # C13135. It has a 2" receiver, so it will be able to work with the SuperClamp EX.
Alternatively, you could use the Thule EasyFold XT, part # TH903202, with your 1-1/4" hitch. It supports 2 e-bikes up to 65 pounds each and is compatible with Class I receivers. I've linked to a video review of it below.
