Yes, the # CAB-C5G fifth-wheel to gooseneck adapter by Convert-A-Ball attaches to the trailer king pin with set bolts, so it could certainly be removed if needed. The adapter does have holes for a semi-permanent bolt-on installation, but it is not mandatory to use these on the # CAB-C5G model which does not have an offset.

The # CAB-C5GX1216 adapter with a 7-1/2 inch offset would be used in short bed trucks. Due to the different leverage caused by the offset, it is necessary to bolt this adapter to the pin box. The offset model would still be removable, but it would require more time and effort.
