Mounting Trailer Frame Brackets of Curt C17500 TruTrack Weight Distribution System
Question:
Hello, I was reading through the installation instructions and read that the trunnion bar brackets are to be installed 4 inches from the end of the bar. I have a 2017 Forest River Vibe 287qbs and I am not sure if the bars will fit given the 4 inch measurement. Can I move the brackets up to 5-6 inches from the end of the bar to avoid the battery bank? Thanks

The Curt # C17500 is designed for trailers with tongue weights from 800-1000 lbs.
According to Curt, you can install the brackets of their # C17500 TruTrack weight distribution system so that the brackets meet the bar at 5 or 6 inches from the end of the bar, but you'll want to be as close to 4 inches as you can get.
