Is Drilling Required When Installing A Trailer Hitch Receiver On 2020 Kia Forte?
Question:
I tried to get a bolt on trailer hitch attached to my 2020 Kia Forte and when the hitch guy got into it he found there were no wholes or bolts to hook it to. Can they cut wholes and weld nuts on and if so what are the location specs?

Yes, you will need to enlarge a few holes and likely drill a few new holes in order to install a trailer hitch receiver onto your 2020 Kia Forte. I am showing that the two receivers available for your vehicle are the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT83MR and Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C55HR. I recommend the Curt as it is USA made and typically has higher quality paint. Both have instructions that show the necessary drilling and hole enlarging that needs to take place when installing the receivers. I attached a link to the instructions for each receiver.
If you do not feel comfortable doing this installation, then any trailer shop or local mechanic shop should be able to tackle the job fairly easily.
