Hauling a Front Mounted Generator Options

Question:

I have a 1994 Chevy P30. I need a mounting bracket to adapt to my 3” x 10” bumper to be able to install the GennyGo 24x24. Can you advise the parts I need to order?

In order to haul a generator on the front of your vehicle, I suggest using a front mount trailer hitch such as the # 13703. This is an adjustable type hitch that fits frames from 22" to 72" in width. It is not a custom fit but will require a little bit of fabrication and some welding. Curt states that all non-trailered loads need to be secured with Stabilizing Support Strap # 18050. After installation of adjustable hitch, you can use a cargo basket carrier such as the Curt Cargo Carrier # C18150.

If you choose to use the # e96ZRe etrailer Cargo Carrier it is not designed for the type of bumper shown in the pic you forwarded. This is designed for a rear bumper of an RV that is made from square tubing. So for this to function you would be best to replace the front bumper. I strongly suggest the first option due to the weight you will be have from a mounted generator.
