Recommended Adapter To Tow 5th Wheel Trailer W/ Above Bed Gooseneck Hitch On 2002 Dodge Ram 3500

Question:

my Goose neck hitch is a draw tight remove a ball. The hitch is attached to the truck under the bed to the frame but the part that holes the ball is above the bed about 1 inch. The ball is 2 5/16 will the Hi Rise Goose neck item # 9480 work? If not can you please tell me what will work. 2002 Dodge Ram 3500

Since your 2002 Dodge Ram 3500 8' Bed has an above bed gooseneck hitch like the Remov-A-Ball Gooseneck Trailer Hitch Installation Kit - Dodge Ram Trucks # 6300-4439 you will not be able to use the Hi-Rise Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter by Bulldog, Draw-Tite and Reese # 9480 as it only works with the Draw-Tite 9460, 9464, or 9465.

To tow a 5th wheel trailer with your gooseneck hitch you will need to use an adapter like the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter - 12" to 16" Tall - 20,000 lbs # CAB-C5G which installs on the king pin of your 5th wheel trailer and allows it to be hooked up to your gooseneck hitch.
