Can Output Circuit From Install Harness for Installing Brake Controller be Cut Ran Separately

Question:

I have a 21 Ram Tradesman that I wish to hardwire my P3 into, bypassing the Ram system entirely except the stoplight portion. I have in the past, experienced low voltage and low amps at the rear of the truck on a 2014 model which contributed to overheating of the truck brakes during towing, wheel seal failure and bearing failure, entire rearend bearing replacement as a result. Plug and play is not an option for me! The Question: Can I use the 3024 P harness to hardwire by connecting this adapter as intended, leaving the red wire, stop light wire in place and then cut black, white and blue wires for hard wire install to the battery and rear connection?

Yes you can do exactly what you are looking for with the install harness # 3024-P. You can use it to tap into the stoplight circuit, power circuit, and ground and then cut out the blue wire and run your own wiring back to the 7-way like with 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 which we sell by the foot.
