Can Yakima Roof Rack Be Installed Onto Thule Towers For 2017 Nissan Murano?

Question:

2017 Nissan Murano with factory rails from front to back. I have a Yakima rack with round bars and the company doesnt make a tower that fits the above vehicle. Unfortunately Yakima doesnt have an adapter, but I have seen where Thule makes a tower that fits my car. Is there a Thule tower that I can purchase, along with maybe needing an adapter for the round bar?

Yakima round bars will unfortunately not fit onto Thule towers. Thule is the only company that makes roof racks for your 2017 Nissan Murano with factory rails at this time, you will want to stick with Thule. I recommend looking into the Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars - Aluminum - Silver - 47" Long - Qty 2 # TH711200 which offer a low-profile aerodynamic design and thus will have less noise and vibration compared to other systems. You will also need Feet # TH460R and Fit Kit # THKIT3141 and then you can install the system onto your roof rails.

The crossbars feature the common T-slot top channel which allows for various channel-mounted accessories to be easily installed. You can also use the standard clamp-on method for installing accessories. I recommend adding Thule One Key System Lock Cores with Keys - 4 Pack # TH450400 to the roof rack towers which will keep the entire system safe and secured to your roof.
