Upgrading to a Larger Tire and Wheel Combo on a 2021 Karavan Trailer

Question:

Brand new 2021 Karavan, single jet ski, step on fender that has 5x30x12c tires. I haul my ski one way many times in upwards for 500 miles one way. Would like a bigger, wider and radial tire on it to handle the long distances I go. What do you recommend,? Looking fir tire and rims

Upgrading o a Radial Tire will definitely be better for long distance towing. They will run cooler than a Bias Ply tire giving them a longer life. To replace your current 5.30 x 12 tire, I do have a couple options for you.

The Kenda Karrier ST145/80R12 # AM35354 will actually keep you at pretty much the exact same size as your current tire/wheel. This will be 5.7 inches wide and have a diameter of 21.3 inches. The standard 5.30 x 12 tire will have a width of 5.6 inches and have a diameter of 21.9 inches. However, it is a Radial tire with a D weight rating giving it a maximum capacity of 1,220 pounds per tire. The black Mod wheel would also go very nicely with your black trailer and jet ski.

The Kenda Karrier ST175/80R13 # AM32001HWTB will be the bigger option. This will give you a 7 inch width and a 24.1 inch diameter. This is also a Radial tire with a D weight rating giving it a maximum capacity of 1,610 pounds per tire. The aluminum wheel will also offer the best corrosion resistance.
