Troubleshooting Tekonsha Prodigy P3 That Says No Trailer Connected When Trailer Is Hooked Up

I brought a tenonsha p3 for my Chevy Colorado I get power when I push the break but when I hook up the trailer to it it’s say no trailer Connection any help would be Appreciate it

Since the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 you installed on your 2016 Chevrolet Colorado is saying no trailer connected I would start with checking the connectors on the trailer and vehicle for any corrosion or debris that could be causing a connection issue.
If the connectors look good use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to test the blue wire on the back of the # 90195 while engaging the manual override lever. If you are getting power then there is damage in the blue brake output wire between the controller and the trailer brakes.
Have a buddy engage the manual override lever while you test the 5 o'clock pin on your 7-way connector. If you have power then the issue is on the trailer, and if you do not have power the issue is between the 7-way and controller.
Go ahead and check the brake output wire for any damage and replace any damaged sections with # 10-1-1 and heat shrink butt connectors # DW05745-5.
