What is the outside diameter of the 2inch tall riser? It looks to be slightly less than 2

I went out to the warehouse and pulled Curt 2 inch ball # C40034. I measured the high rise part of the shank and it was 2 inches in diameter (1.9 inches to be exact) when measured with digital calipers.
