Leveling 5th Wheel Trailer Height When Connected to Truck for Towing
Question:
When I hitch my sprinter 5th wheel to my ‘17 RAM 2500 4X4, my trailer s doesn’t tow level. Can I level it by switching the stock 15” tires/wheels to 16” tires/wheels or do I need to raise the suspension?

I would first start by figuring out if your 5th wheel hitch or pin box can be moved to level your ride height as both those parts have adjustability. You will want to ensure you have at least 5-6" of clearance between your bed rails and the underside of your camper.
If you wish to go with larger wheels and tires you will need to ensure you have enough clearance for the larger tires. If you currently have the 225/75R15 # LHAW124 they are 8.8" wide and 28.3" tall. The 235/85R16 # AM32734 are 9.3" wide and 31.7" tall. So your tire will be 1/4" wider on each side and 3.4" taller or 1.7" on each side. So you would effectively gain 1.7" of ground clearance at the tires.
