How Does Timbren Suspension Enhancement Weight Capacity Affect Vehicle Weight Capacity

Question:

I notice most all of your suspension upgrades have a weight rating lower than the axle ratings. Does this lower the weight rating of the vehicle given, for example, this one can only handle 12,000lbs when the rear axle can be loaded to 13,500lbs? The motorhome places me near full capacity so Im not sure I can put something like this on it. Also, there are some with much lower ratings so I dont know why theyre listed for a 5500 chassis with GVWR at 19,500lbs and front axle at 7,250lbs. Am I mistaking the load capacity of the helper springs and overloads for full capacity? Could they be rated individually at 12,000lbs per side?

The weight capacity for the suspension enhancement kits we offer can be confusing in how it's listed but basically the kits provide their capacity in additional suspension support. So it adds that much support to the vehicle's capacity already listed. For example the part # TDR5500 would add an additional 12,000 lbs of suspension support to the vehicle.

Now to make things even further confusing (hopefully not) this does not actually give the vehicle more weight carrying capacity. It just gives additional support so that the vehicle can carry it's current capacity in a more stable way.
