Recommendation for 2021 Toyota Land Cruiser That Squats in Rear When Towing Travel Trailer

Question:

When I hook up my 25foot Airstream travel trailer to my 2021 Toyota Land Cruiser, I get about 4inch of rear sag. I was going to install the Firestone Coil Rite Air Helper Spring Rear F4164 to the vehicles rear coils but when I look at the rear coil springs they have a cone shaped bumper on the inside of the coil springs coming from the top and ending about 4 inches above the axle. I then started looking at the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System TTORLC2. On my Toyota there is a rubber bumper about 3 - 4 inches above the axle that seems to be doing what the Timbren is designed to do. Should I consider taking that bumper off and adding the Timbren to eliminate the 4inch of rear sag? Or, do you have other options I should consider?

I recommend using a Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37100ET for your 2021 Toyota Land Cruiser. This will enable you to get that level ride while also providing you will a sway control. The sway control will help to reduce trailer sway caused by wind and large trucks when you are driving. This particular hitch is rated for 600lbs – 1,000lbs of tongue weight and a maximum trailer weight of 10,000lbs.

If your Airstream does not fit into that weight range when it is loaded with your gear, please let me know and I will suggest a different hitch of the correct weight for your Airstream.

If you plan to install this hitch yourself you will need a 1-7/8" 12pt Thin Walled Socket # ALL643216. This is needed to install the ball onto the hitch head.

I recommend using the Sway Bracket Jackets # EQ95-01-5150 with this hitch as it will reduce the noise created by the hitch and help the parts last longer.
