Is There a Trailer Hitch for 2009 Acura MDX That Works With Full Size Spare Tire
Question:
I installed a curt 13354 hitch and there is no way the 18inch spare will go under the vehicle. Its about 2inch smaller then needed. I installed the 18inch inch spare on an Acura OEM hitch with no issues. The question is what after market hitch can work with an 18inch spare tire? We are towing and I do not want to use the 17 inch donut.

Helpful Expert Reply:
The trailer hitch options for a 2009 Acura MDX like the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 13354 don't allow for a full size spare tire to be stored. The only option would be to either store the spare tire elsewhere like on the roof or to switch to the smaller size factory spare tire.
