How Does Curt Friction Sway Control Get Installed On Trailer Frame?

Question:

Im looking to install: Curt Friction Sway Control for Weight Distribution Systems - 17200 Is there a way to do this without drilling or welding? Id prefer a clamp on method, similar to WD hitch attachments on the trailer frame. Please advise! Thanks!

I have an option for you, but the Curt Friction Sway Control for Weight Distribution Systems # 17200 you were looking at needs to be bolted to the frame of your trailer and cannot be clamped on.

You will need to drill 8 11/32" holes in the frame to use the included mounting hardware to make sure the # 17200 is secure.

I also recommend using the Reese Sway-Control Bracket for 2" Ball Mounts # RP26003 which will mount to your ball mount underneath your hitch ball, and will not require welding like the universal bracket included with the # 17200.

I included a few videos for you to take a look at.
