Replacement 7-way Trailer Wiring Harness for 2002 Ford F250
Question:
I have a 2002 f250 and I’m looking for a replacement 7 and 4way trailer harness. I see you have answered this already but it seems my unit is different. It’s a 2002 but has a square connector like a 2001 not a round plugon the truck side Ford original part number#2C3Z-13A576-DA

Take a look at the back side of your existing 7-way trailer connector. There should be a round plug connected to the back of the actual trailer connector. You should be able to slide out the gray catch on that connector then remove it. That round connector is what would plug into the # 74682 Reese Multi-Plug Wiring Harness you'd looked at.
Further back on the frame rail is where the rectangular connector plugs in. Tow Ready tells me that their
# 118243 which features the rectangular connector won't work on the Ford Super Duty trucks after the 2001 because the pinout of the connector on the frame rail changed from 2001 to 2002.
