Fifth Wheel Recommendation For a Cab and Chassis Truck With a Flat Bed
Question:
Hello I have a 1997 Dodge Ram 3500 Cab and Chassis. It is down to bare frame and I’d like to put a fifth wheel hitch on it to tow a camper. I plan on putting a deck plate over the top of the frame to cover the fuel tank etc.

The Reese Low-Profile 5th Wheel Hitch # RP30054 would definitely work on a 1997 Dodge Ram 3500 Cab and Chassis once the deck plate is installed. We do not have an option for rails on a cab and chassis, unfortunately. With a 30,000 pound capacity, this will be able to handle just about everything thrown at it.
