Recommended Trailer Tail Lights To Replace Older Glo-Brite 9553

Question:

I have an existing Glo-Briteinch Tail light for running, break and turn signal the Reorderinch part number on it is 9553 That number does not come up on any search. Do you have anything that is a current replacement for this light, I am assuming the newer light are LED? I will want Two lights. I am hoping you have something that will fit the same Oval opening already in my trailers panel as I do not want to have to patch and then recut any opening. Electrical isnt so much a problem as fit.

The Glo-Brite 9553 you have currently measures 6-1/2" x 2-1/4" x 2-1/4" so for an incandescent replacement option I recommend the Custer Trailer Tail Light - Submersible - Stop, Turn, Tail - Incandescent - Oval - Red Lens # G65R which will fit your existing grommet and uses the exact same 3 prong harness making it an exact replacement.

If you wanted to go with LED lights instead then Optronics Fleet LED Trailer Tail Lights w/ Grommets - Stop,Turn,Tail - Submersible - Oval - Qty 2 # TLL12RK you were looking at would still work with your existing grommet so you would have no worries there.

In the end it comes down to which style you prefer, but between the two I would go ahead and go with the LED version as it will have much better light output, and be longer lasting worry free light.

I included a video of the # TLL12RK for you to take a look at.
