Changing from 2” to 1 1/4” On A Bike Rack
Question:
I have an older model Yakima bike rack 5 years? that I’ve been using on my wife’s SUV. It has a 2” hitch. I’d like to use the bike rack on my smaller Toyota, on which I’m installing a 1 1/4” hitch. It appears the 2” adapter on the bottom of the Yakima bike rack just needs to be removed si it fits into a 1 1/4”. Is that it? It appears to require a large Allen wrench that I don’t have, but I’ll figure that out. Attached a picture of the bottom of the bike rack. Also mistakenly attached another random picture that you can ignore. ??

Yes sir! All you have to do is remove the sleeve for the bike rack # Y02458 to fit in a 1-1/4 inch hitch!
