5th wheel to Gooseneck replacement for Fabex 520

Question:

Im trying to figure out which pinbox replacement will work out for replacing a Fabex 520 15k. It seems Lippert is the most frequently mention by the products Ive been looking at 1621 or 1716. Im guessing by the ratings mentioned in the product descriptions that Reese RP94716-61301, or Gen-Y 325-GH-8045 would work? My trailer is an older Nash and is only ~ 8k lbs. I have a short bed 64inch 2014 Ram 2500, and Ive been using the BandW companion slider... Great hitch but Im getting tired of removing and replacing it. Id rather have an option to use the turnover ball without beating up the trailer like the solid adapters will. It does go into the forest on dirt roads.

The only option I have for you would be the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter w/ Offset # CAB-C5GX1216. It has internal polyurethane cushions to reduce the vibrations and shock when you are traveling off road. It is also offset to allow your 2014 Ram 2500 to be more maneuverable with the short bed.

The replacement pin box to gooseneck adapter all use the newer 1621 or 1716 bolt patterns which are different from your Fabex 520. So unfortunately those will not be an option for you without modification to either the pin box mounts or the adapter itself.
